The lifelong dream become a reality on fathers's day June 2015, Yvonne looking for the perfect gift gave David, the ultimate present a discovery flight, and literally decided get his head in the clouds and pursue his lifelong dream of learning to fly and becoming a pilot.

After training for his private pilot license, instrument and multi-engine rating, David & Yvonne went on to open a flight training academy. What started as a learning scenario evolved into a want to be able have a flight training academy in which a student can really learn the fundamental of flying and ground school together, and the acquire the fundamentals of safe flying skill with absolute knowledge.

Our passion led to the creation of Prestige Aviation Academy. Our Academy uses the latest equipment and technology to teach you how to fly in a professional and in a safe environment.

Become a Pilot

Prestige Aviation Academy uses the most advanced Flight Training System, featuring Sportys- Sport/Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial Courses, you’ll quickly become a knowledgeable, competent pilot. Our scenario-based interactive instruction programs available through Piper Pilot Centers work hand in hand with your actual flight experience – allowing you to prepare for your next training flight before you even take off. So you can learn at your own pace.

Private Pilot

The private pilot certificate is the license that most pilots in the United States have earned. When you earn your private pilot’s certificate, you will be able to carry passengers and fly any distance from your home airport, or any other airport. This certification also allows you to fly day or night, provided the weather meets certain requirements.


  • Be at least 17 years of age
  • Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language
  • Obtain at least a current third-class medical certificate
  • Receive a minimum of 40 hours of flight time including training and solo flight
  • Pass a knowledge test as well as the practical test

Flight Training Application

Instrument Rating

An instrument rating allows you to fly in less than V.F.R conditions (visual flight rules), 1000 foot ceiling or less than 3 miles visibility.


  • Have at least a private pilot certificate.
  • Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language
  • Hold at least a Third Class Medical Certificate.
  • Pass the FAA computer-based exam, which consists of multiple‑choice questions.
  • Pass a practical test (check-ride) with an FAA Inspector or Designated Examiner.

Commercial Training

The Federal Aviation Administration has established the minimum training time for the Commercial Pilot Certificate. They require a minimum of 250 total flight hours, of which at least 20 hours are with a FAA Certificated Flight Instructor and 10 hours of solo flight.


  • You must hold a Private Pilot Certificate with an Instrument rating.
  • Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language
  • You must be 18 years of age or older. There is no maximum age limit.
  • You must hold at least a Third Class FAA Medical Certificate.

Multi-Engine Training

Structured, efficient, cost-effective multi-engine training in our modern PA-34-200T. While our multi-engine courses are primary designed to be completed in an accelerated fashion, we have options for students who can't commit to an accelerated program. The programs below will prepare you for your multi add-on or ATP practical test!.


  • Holder of an FAA Private Pilot
  • Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language
  • License or Commercial Pilot certificate.
  • At least a 3rd class FAA medical certificate.

Become an Instructor

Initial Flight Instructor (CFI) Course

As a Certificated Flight Instructor, you will gain the qualifications to teach Private Pilot and Commercial Single-Engine students. Our flight school hires motivated, certified instructors, which frequently leads to the offer of a paid instructing position here at Prestige Aviation Academy upon successful completion of the course. We love hiring our successful students, because we know they have mastered a rigorous training.

Full-time students enrolled in our Flight Instructor Academy will have 3 hours a day of FIFTP Ground School Monday through Friday, accumulating a total of 60 hours. Students will then begin one-on-one ground instruction, flying the Piper PA-28 for 12 hours. Students who truly dedicate themselves to completing their CFI, study hard, and make pilot training the top priority, can complete within a 6-week period.

Part-time students that are working or enrolled in school may find that their CFI takes 12 weeks to finish based on an estimated 3 activities per week. However, our course duration are estimates, and we highly encourage you to chat with an Admissions Representative directly about your training needs and availability for a customized approximation.

If you're interested in becoming a flight instructor, then you're in luck -- flight instructors are in high demand right now, and this particular career path is expected to remain in demand for quite a few years.


  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Hold a commercial pilot certificate
  • Hold an instrument rating (for helicopter CFI)
  • Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language
  • Obtain at least a current third-class medical certificate
  • Have logged at least 250 hours (200 for helicopters) and the required training for the CFI rating per FAA regulations
  • Pass a knowledge test as well as the practical test

Flight Instructor Instrument

A candidate for an add-on instrument flight instructor rating must: Possess an instrument rating on his/her pilot certificate. Pass the instrument flight instructor knowledge test. Receive a logbook endorsement from an authorized instructor on the areas of operation required for an instrument flight instructor.


  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Hold a commercial pilot certificate
  • Hold an instrument rating CFI
  • Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language
  • Obtain at least a current third-class medical certificate
  • Have logged at least 250 hours (200 for helicopters) and the required training for the CFI rating per FAA regulations
  • Pass a knowledge test as well as the practical test

Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI)

A candidates for pilot certificates, ratings or endorsements receive a certain amount of training, both in the air and on the ground, in order to obtain that certificate. MEIs are responsible for teaching pilots how to fly multi-engine aircraft as well as ensuring that certificated pilots maintain their proficiency Privileges

  • Provide required training for multi-engine rating candidates
  • Endorse multi-engine candidates to take FAA oral and practical exams


  • You must possess a commercial certificate in order to become a Multi Engine Instructor.
  • The various requirements necessary to prepare a flight instructor candidate vary based on the individual’s level of experience.

Ground (10 Hours)

Ground lessons are a major component of flight instructor training. You and your instructor will cover everything set forth in the Multi-Engine Instructor ACS, which essentially requires you to learn how to teach everything set forth in the Multi-Engine ACS. You are not only required to possess a solid understanding of all principles, but you must also be able to teach these principles to students, therefore this training will include curriculum planning.

Flight (10 Hours)

The flight portion of this training directly relates to everything you discussed in your ground lessons. You will be required to fly all maneuvers from the right seat within the parameters set forth in the Practical Test Standards. You must also be able to clearly explain how to perform these maneuvers while doing so.
